The high undercooling of binary Co-4.54%Sn alloy has a significant influence on its microstructural characteristics and physical properties. Here, we report that the dendritic growth properties broad-temperature-range remarkably depends during rapid solidification. maximum attains 208 K at molten state, velocity is quite sluggish in highly undercooled liquid because it broad solidification range 375 (0.21 TL); value only 0.95 m/s 175 K, which then decreases with undercooling. microstructure refines visibly volume fraction interdendritic βCo3Sn2 phase obviously microhardness electrical resistivity increase owing to enhancement solute content primary αCo refinement where increased crystal boundary hinders electronic transmission.
